We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal data you share while using our app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Frame Frenetic, you agree to the practices described below.

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, call logs, or any data unrelated to photo editing.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to operate, maintain, and improve Frame Frenetic:
Create and manage your user account (email/password, Google, or Facebook sign-in).
Store and retrieve your editing history so you can revisit past creations.
Sync your profile and session data across devices via Firebase.
Display previously saved edits in your history feed.
Ensure app stability and diagnose technical issues through device diagnostics.
Provide real-time connectivity features (online/offline presence).
Personalise typography and font choices via Google Fonts integration.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
3. Camera & Photo Library Access
Frame Frenetic's primary function is photo editing, which requires access to your device's camera and photo library. Here is exactly how these permissions are used:
Camera: Used to capture new photos directly within the app for immediate editing. Photos are processed locally on your device and are only uploaded to cloud storage if you explicitly trigger a save or backup action.
Photo Library (Read): Used to let you select existing photos from your gallery as source images for editing, collages, or frames. We only access images you explicitly select — we do not scan or upload your entire library.
Photo Library (Write): Used to save your finished, edited images back to your device gallery after you tap the save button. We never write files to your gallery without your direct action.
Microphone: The microphone permission is declared for potential future video features. Frame Frenetic does not currently record or transmit audio in any form.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time through your device's Settings app. Revoking camera or photo library access will disable related editing features.
4. Authentication & Account Data
Frame Frenetic offers three sign-in methods, each handled securely via Firebase Authentication:
Email & Password: Your credentials are encrypted and managed by Firebase. We never store raw passwords.
Sign in with Google: Handled through Google's OAuth flow. We receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. Google's own Privacy Policy governs data on their side.
Continue with Facebook: Handled through Facebook's OAuth flow. We receive your public Facebook profile data (name, email, profile photo). Facebook's Privacy Policy governs data on their side.
Authentication tokens and user identifiers are stored locally on your device using encrypted shared preferences, so you remain logged in between sessions without repeatedly entering your credentials.
5. Third-Party Services
Frame Frenetic integrates with the following third-party services. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:
Provides our backend infrastructure for accounts, cloud saving, and real-time sync. Data is stored on Google's servers subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Sign-In & Google Fonts
Google OAuth for authentication and Google Fonts API for typography. Both governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Facebook Login
Facebook OAuth for authentication. Governed by Meta's Data Policy. App ID: 854647378886579.
Instagram & Facebook Sharing
When you choose to share an edited image to Instagram or Facebook, your selected image is passed to those apps via the native share API. We do not retain any data about what you shared.
Photo Filter & Editing Libraries
All filter processing (brightness, colour grading, sepia, etc.) happens entirely on-device. No image data is sent to any external server for processing.
Advertising: Google Mobile Ads is integrated in our codebase but is currently not active. If we enable ads in a future update, this policy will be updated with full details before rollout.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is protected through several layers of security:
Local storage: Authentication tokens and preferences are stored using encrypted SharedPreferences on your device.
Cloud storage: All cloud data is stored in Firebase with Google-managed encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL).
Image processing: All photo editing, filters, frames, and collage generation occur entirely on-device. Your photos are not sent to our servers for processing.
Cloud backups: Images are only uploaded to Firebase Storage when you explicitly trigger a save or history sync action.
Firebase Security Rules: We use Firestore and Firebase Storage security rules so that each user can only access their own data.
While we implement industry-standard safeguards, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the service:
Account data (name, email) is retained while your account exists.
Editing history and cloud-saved images are retained until you delete them in-app or delete your account.
Presence and session data (last seen, online status) is overwritten on each session and not retained long-term.
When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Residual data in backup systems may persist for up to 90 days before automatic purge.
8. Children's Privacy
Frame Frenetic is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 11. We will take prompt steps to delete that information.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your in-app profile settings or by contacting us.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us or using any in-app account deletion option.
Data Portability: Request an export of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Withdraw Consent: Revoke camera, photo library, or microphone permissions at any time through your device's Settings.
Opt Out of Social Auth: Use email/password sign-in instead of Google or Facebook at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
Update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
Notify you via an in-app notification or email (if you have provided one) for significant changes.
Your continued use of Frame Frenetic after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
